Goddess Kali possesses four hands, each laden with symbolic significance. Her upper left hand wields a scimitar, symbolizing power, while her lower left-hand clasps a severed head, representing the conquest of ego. In her upper right hand, she displays the Avaya Mudra, a gesture of fearlessness, and in her lower right hand, she holds a Trishul. These four hands together illustrate the cyclical nature of creation and destruction, encompassing the entirety of time and the continuous cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. Beneath her, Lord Shiva, often associated with the deity of death, lies prostrate, with closed eyes signifying the primordial state before life's emergence.
