Beautiful Tribal Lady With Stylish Big Bun

$207
Includes any tariffs and taxes

This artifact is of a tribal woman decorated with the best of her appearances. The stylish big bun clustered at the back towards her right side is artistically carved with sleek hair strands, clearly visible. Small check comb holds her hair from loosening; face structured like that of a droplet; wearing two big round nose pins showcasing her culture. Her hairs are parted from the centre and a flower shaped mark can be seen on the forehead just below the partition. The joint eyebrows with a bordering design shows a deep thought in her eyes but that smiling face gives a sharp contrast to it. She wears a big stud and kundal in both her ears and the neck adorned with a thick multilayered choker. Her head rests on a circular, soberly patterned pedestal.

This sculpture demonstrates the true glance of tribal women.

A Vision of Enduring Beauty and Cultural Heritage

This exquisite brass statue captures the essence of a tribal woman, an embodiment of grace and strength that transcends time. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the sculpture portrays a captivating visage, framed by an elaborate and stylishly sculpted large bun, a testament to traditional artistry and aesthetic sensibilities. The warm, lustrous patina of the brass lends an aura of antiquity and sophistication, making it a striking statement piece for any discerning collector. The artist has skillfully rendered the facial features, imbuing them with a serene yet knowing expression. The eyes, though stylized, convey a depth of character, perhaps hinting at the wisdom passed down through generations. The delicate ornamentation around the brow and the intricate patterns adorning the neckpiece speak volumes about the rich cultural heritage from which this artwork draws inspiration. These adornments are not mere decorations; they are symbolic representations, echoing ancient traditions of storytelling and ritual that are woven into the fabric of tribal life. The very act of adorning oneself was, and often still is, a profound communication of identity, social standing, and spiritual beliefs.

Echoes of Ancient Lore and Artistic Mastery

The styling of the hair, particularly the grand bun, is reminiscent of the coiffures depicted in ancient Indian art, often associated with celestial beings or dignified figures. In many tribal cultures, hairstyles are not simply a matter of fashion but carry deep cultural significance, sometimes signifying marital status, age, or spiritual affiliation. The bold yet elegant design of the bun, with its textured detailing, suggests a community that values artistry and takes pride in the presentation of its people. This statue invites contemplation on the multifaceted roles women have played throughout history – as nurturers, keepers of tradition, and pillars of their communities. The craftsmanship itself is a tribute to the enduring legacy of metalworking traditions, where skilled artisans transform raw materials into objects of profound beauty and cultural resonance. The choice of brass, a metal associated with divinity and prosperity in many cultures, further elevates the significance of this piece, imbuing it with a sense of sacredness and lasting value. It is a tangible link to a rich past, a piece that can anchor your space with a sense of history and artistic excellence.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
