Here we see bejeweled Radha and Krishna seated on a inverted lotus seat. Krishna sitting in lalitasana is lost in a world of his own, playing the flute. Radha is seduced not only by the mesmerising music arising out of his flute but by the sheer presence of Krishna. She is learning towards Krishna; two bodies striving to become one.
The figures are curvaceous and accentuated; the ornaments are ostentacious and the interplay between them highly erotic. However, the sensual imagery is a foil for the notion of transcendental absorption which is the underlying idea of these images.
