Deity of New Beginnings

Invite the blessings of auspiciousness and wisdom into your home with this beautifully crafted representation of Lord Ganesha. Ganesha, also known as Ganapati or Vinayaka, is one of the most beloved and widely worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. He is revered as the remover of obstacles, the god of good fortune, and the patron of arts and sciences. Having a Ganesha statue in your home or office is believed to bring prosperity, success, and knowledge. This exquisite figure is meticulously designed to capture the essence of Ganesha's divine form, allowing you to connect with the divine presence.

A Glimpse into the Mythology

Ganesha's origins are steeped in captivating legends. One prominent tale recounts how Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva, created Ganesha from the sandalwood paste she used for bathing. She instructed him to guard the entrance while she bathed. When Shiva returned, Ganesha, unfamiliar with him, refused him entry. Enraged, Shiva severed Ganesha's head. Parvati was devastated, and Shiva, in remorse, promised to restore Ganesha to life by replacing his head with that of the first living being he encountered facing north. That being happened to be an elephant. And so, Ganesha was reborn, becoming the elephant-headed deity we know and love. Another significant emblem of Ganesha is his broken tusk. According to legend, Ganesha broke off one of his tusks to use it as a stylus to write down the epic Mahabharata as dictated by the sage Vyasa. This act symbolizes sacrifice and dedication to knowledge. Ganesha's large ears are said to be able to listen to all the prayers of his devotees. The modak, a sweet dumpling, that he often holds in his hand or trunk is a symbol of the rewards of spiritual practice.
