“Let yourself be open and life will be easier." - Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

A Shiva Linga with a Trishul Patra and Nag, carved from stone and brass, stands as a representation of the cosmic union of male and female energies. The Linga symbolizes the divine potential within all, while the Trishul represents the three aspects of existence: creation, preservation, and destruction. The coiled Nag represents eternity and the cycle of life. The harmonious unity here is to direct the devotees towards focusing on their dualities and finding balance within themselves, knowing that in openness, they will discover the ultimate interconnectedness of all creation.

The Auspicious Presence of Lord Shiva

This exquisitely crafted set embodies the profound symbolism associated with Lord Shiva, the preserver and destroyer in the Hindu pantheon. At its heart rests a natural Narmadeshwar Shivalinga, a sacred, oval stone revered as a form of the divine. Each Shivalinga is unique, formed by the currents of the Narmada River, imbued with natural energies and believed to radiate immense spiritual power. The striking reddish-orange "Om" symbol, the primal sound of the universe, is meticulously painted onto the stone, amplifying its sanctity and drawing the viewer into a state of contemplation.

Guardians of the Divine Form

Crowning the sacred Shivalinga is a resplendent brass Trishul, the trident wielded by Lord Shiva, signifying his dominion over the three aspects of existence – creation, preservation, and destruction. The Trishul is also a symbol of Shiva’s power to overcome ignorance, ego, and attachment. To the left, a majestic brass Naga, or serpent, coils protectively. The Naga holds a brass kalash, a pot that symbolizes abundance, fertility, and the divine nectar of immortality. In Hindu mythology, the Naga is deeply associated with Shiva, often depicted adorning his neck or as his throne. The Naga’s presence signifies the kundalini energy, the dormant spiritual power within humans, and its ability to awaken and ascend through the spiritual chakras, guided by Shiva.

A Testament to Craftsmanship and Devotion

The entire arrangement is set upon a delicately designed brass patra, or leaf, which is mounted on an intricately engraved brass base. This base, with its embossed patterns, speaks to the enduring tradition of Indian metalwork, where artistry and spirituality are seamlessly interwoven. Each element of this piece is thoughtfully designed to evoke reverence and facilitate a deeper connection with the divine. It serves not just as an object of worship, but as a beautiful reminder of the cosmic forces that govern our existence and the path towards spiritual enlightenment. This ensemble is a perfect addition to any altar, meditation space, or home, inviting blessings and inner peace.
