Venkatagiri saris, woven in the small coastal town of the same name, are the pride of Andhra weaving traditions. Venkatagiri saris are mostly woven in cottons with a delicate zari border. The body is usually plain or with beautiful self checks that make the border prominent. The hues of the Venkatagiri saris are usually bright that can highlight the zari border.

This Venkatagiri Sari is quite simple with the body composed of bottle green color with large zari blocks on it. In between he blocks there are large floral weaves. It gives both elegance and fullness to the sari. The border is a large zari one which is closely woven with zari to look like one broad border. There are the same flowers as on the body, woven on the top of the border. The pallav is quite simple with vertical zari lines on it.
