Batik is the traditional art of resist dyeing that began in Indonesia which uses wax for dyeing. Several religious textiles in Indonesia were made by the art of batik.Another interesting aspect of the dress is the khadi material which is hand spun and which was revolutionized by Gandhiji as part of the freedom movement

This kameez comes in a navy blue background with batik patterns forming checks and flowers in between those checks. On the neck are intersecting loops forming an interesting design. There are also loops on the hands which are short.

It is accompanied by an off-white khadi salwar.
