Here, burgundy, beige and green blend with each other harmoniously, giving impetus to the beauty of the floral pattern. Kashmiri craftsmen are so familiar with the flowers that weaving them comes naturally and easily to them. Diagonal rows of flowers and leaves on curvilinear stems occupy the entire field of the shawl. The weaver does not leave empty spaces, filling it up with green spots. Although these spots interfere with the impact of the design it enhances the overall beauty of the shawl.
The border consists of the teapot botehs at considerable distance with small flowers striving to find a prominent place. The edge has a distinct mother - daughter boteh design i.e. two botehs back to back. But due to the colour combination which is the same all ever, the border does not stand out exclusively. The bottle green base manages to find its true colours beyond the border and the ends are plain which helps in uplifting the entire design.
Considering the colours used, this shawl can accommodate just about any coloured apparel and will look equally astounding.
