Swami Ranganathananda


Swami Ranganathananda, an Indian philosopher and spiritual leader, presided over the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission as its thirteenth president. He was renowned for his intellect, thorough knowledge of Vedanta philosophy, and dedication to charitable work.


In the Ramakrishna Mission, Swami Ranganathananda held a number of positions, including those of editor of the mission's magazine, "Prabdha Bharata," and head of the Chennai Math. He also made a great deal of international and domestic travel while delivering talks and leading workshops on Vedanta philosophy and spirituality.


Several publications on Vedanta philosophy were written by Swami Ranganathananda, including "The Message of Vivekachudamani," "Human Being in Depth," and "Man and His Mind." He also emphasized the importance of social service and worked tirelessly for the upliftment of the poor and the marginalized.
