About the Author:
Dr. Murali Manohar is in the vanguard of the new generation of Ayurvedic doctors seeking to spread this ancient system of healing and healthy living. Born into a family of Ayurveda - his grandfather was a renowned Ayurvedic scholar and his father is an eminent Ayurvedic physician - he nonetheless chose to study Ayurveda institutionally. Having graduated in Ayurveda from Nagarjuna University in 1991, he secured a post-graduation in 1995 from Marathwada University.
He has written several articles and books on the subject. Dr Manohar's book, A Reference Guide to Ayurvedic Practice, drew applause from both professionals and the public alike. He is currently engaged in researching Ayurvedic cures fro numerous dreaded diseases and has also formulated effective medications for obstinate or chronic ailments such as Leucoderma, Psoriasis, Joint Pains, Diabetes, Bronchial Asthma and the like.
Dr. Manohar has founded Ayurveda for People to spread the message of holistic living, preventive therapies for healthcare and other self-help therapeutic techniques. He lectures periodically on the radio and at health-oriented gatherings, besides appearing on television to promote the cause of Ayurveda. The recipient of numerous awards and honours, Dr. Murali Manohar is associated with the Raksha Ayurvedic Centre, Hyderabad, as a Specialist Ayurvedic Physician.
