Preface

One of my books, written in English and titled Baba May I Answer, was published in 2009 by Sterling Publishers, Delhi, and has since been reprinted a few times. This book has also been translated in various national languages like Hindi, Odia, Assamese, Tamil, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, and Bengali. It has been translated in Nepalese as well. The publishers inform me that this book and its translated versions, particularly in English, are in great demand.

When I visit countries like the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand for the inauguration of Shirdi Sai baba temples and related activities, I come in touch with a large number of devotees of Baba who ask a number of questions. Their genuine interest and inquisitiveness has Propelled me to write this book, which this book, which is so vitally needed to answer their queries. I have been writing on various aspects relating to Shirdi Sai Baba and have been imparting discourses to Sai devotees in India and abroad for the last two decades. May articles have been published in magazines like Sai Bani, Sai Darpan, Sai Chhaya in Odia; Heritage of Shirdi Sai, Sai Vichaar (e-magazine) in English; Sai Kripa, Sai Baba Darshan, Sai Charan, Sai Lehar, Sai Raksha in Hindi; Sai Ananta in Marathi; Sai Kirnalu in Telugu; and also in some bilingual magazines like Sai Arpan and Sai Prabha (in Hindi and English). The material contained in this book in the Question and Answer form is not a reproduction of my speeches and writings. I have tried to answer the queries, asked to me by many devotees from India and abroad, in a comprehensive manner.

This book may not be taken as updated version of the previous book because a majority of the questions and answers are new. This book also has some special features which the earlier book, Baba May I Answer, does not contain.

My Questions and Answers pertaining to (a) The bilingual (English and Marathi) magazine Sainath Prabha, which used to be published in Shirdi between the years 1916 and, (b) Information contained in the intelligence report of the British Government (CID) on Baba, and (c) The school in which Shama worked as a teacher and which has been demolished, may be of great interest to the devotees. I have specially incorporated a chapter for the benefit of international devotees, who I meet often in the US and other countries. Today, the Sai movement is a global phenomenon. The devotees want to have more and newer information. I hope that this book will help them to know more about Baba. I take this opportunity to convey my appreciation to Ms Shipra for collecting, and correcting the different articles and question and answers published in various magazines. She has also been collecting relevant anecdotes from Shri Sai Satcharita and related books. My personal gratitude goes to Mr Snehasish Ray and Ms Neha Sikka for correcting and assembling the manuscript assiduously and earnestly over a period of several months. These earnest Sai devotees have helped me a lot the completion of this book. May Shri Sai bless them all to continue to work for His cause in future.

I thank Mr Mukund Raj of Chicago for helping me to complete the question and answers of the section which is meant for international devotees. Last, but not the least, I thank Mr S.K. Ghai, Managing Director, Sterling Publishers Pvt. Ltd., for undertaking the publication of this book. May Shri Sai bless them all.

Testimonials
I received my Manjushri statue today and I can't put in words how delighted I am with it! Thank you very much. It didn't take very long to get here (the UK) - I wasn't expecting it for a few more weeks. Your support team is very good at providing customer service, too. I must conclude that you have an excellent company.
Mark, UK.
A very comprehensive site for a company with a good reputation.

I received the statue today, and it is beautiful! Worth the wait! Thank you so much, blessings, Kimberly.
Kimberly, USA
I received the Green Tara Thangka described below right on schedule. Thank you a million times for that. My teacher loved it and was extremely moved by it. Although I have seen a lot of Green Tara thangkas, and have looked at other Green Tara Thangkas you offer and found them all to be wonderful, the one I purchased is by far the most beautiful I have ever seen -- or at least it is the one that most speaks to me.
John, USA
Your website store is a really great place to find the most wonderful books and artifacts from beautiful India. I have been traveling to India over the last 4 years and spend 3 months there each time staying with two Bengali families that I have adopted and they have taken me in with love and generosity. I love India. Thanks for doing the business that you do. I am an artist and, well, I got through I think the first 6 pages of the book store on your site and ordered almost 500 dollars in books... I'm in trouble so I don't go there too often.. haha.. Hari Om and Hare Krishna and Jai.. Thanks a lot for doing what you do.. Great !
Steven, USA
Great Website! fast, easy and interesting!
Elaine, Australia
I have purchased from you before. Excellent service. Fast shipping. Great communication.
