Book Description
About the CD
Call of the Desert" is a symphony in Indian Classical music. The conception of the ideas, the storyline woven around it and the music composed for conveying it in five movements goes to the genius of Guitar Maestro Pt. Brijbhushan Kabra, He has been assisted in developing it by his disciple Debashish Bhattacharya and a collaboration of other artistes in creating a musical masterpiece which is bewitchingly pleasing and exquisitely sweet.

In the first symphony in Indian Classical music "Call of the Valley". PL. Brijbhushan Kabra had collaborated with Santoor Maestro - PL. Shiv Kumar Sharma and Flute Maestro Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, the background of which was the picturesque valley of Kashmir. This symphony is a sequel to the "Call of the Valley, but the backdrop of the story outline is the vast desert of Rajasthan with its lovely sand dunes, its majestic silence. Its colourful people - gay and gallant in their resilience against the hardships of nature and the joy and happiness with the few drops of rain, the wandering tribes, the home of the Gypsies, enriched with its enchanted, unequalled Folk music
