About the Author: Prof. T.V. Kuppuswami owns legitimate reputation in the schools of scholastic studies and research. He learnt classical Carnatic-music under reputed Vidwans and had extensively read the treaties. A performing artiste in his own right music is a way of life in his family. His children are all well trained in the art and his wife is a Vainikee in her own right. He had the privilege of being in intimate touch with the doyens in the field of Carnatic music. Available the senior fellowship of the Indian Council of Historical Research for thirty months he worked on this theme. A post-graduate in History, Economics and Politics (Madras University) he earned the Doctorate degree of the University of Kerala by research. He had served the field of higher education for over thirty years guiding students to earn their doctoral titles. He has authored many books, and scholarly papers in Academic Journals of repute.
