This book written by Dr. Prasanth R Krishnan MD (Ayu), PGDEP. has three parts the first part deals with the classification of drugs on the basis of Rasa Veerya vipaka and Karma which helps the students to remind the specific properties of drugs in an order. The second part deals with identification techniques of some of the major dry drugs which can help them in practical identification of specific dry drugs. In the third part essential points of modern pharmacology for BAMS students as per new CCIM syllabus have been explained briefly.

He has obtained his post Graduate degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka (RGUHS) and Post Graduate Diploma in Ethno Pharmacology (PGDEP) from Kerala Veterinary. and Animal Science University(KVASU) Pookode Wayanad, Kerala. He has 4 years of teaching experience in dravyaguna.
