That Astrology is a fascinating and useful subject is an ac-knowledged fact. It is 'the science of life's reactions to plane-tary vibrations'. If one moves with the current he will not ex-perience any trouble. As Astrology deals with the natural - Jaws of life, a knowledge of this science is of absolute necessity to everyone to wade through the ocean of life. Forewarned is fore-armed. Hence, the author has attempted in this book to deal with this vast subject in a concise and clear manner, 50 as to enable a layman to have an easy grasp of the subject and use it in the daily life. This book deals with the entire subject of Genethliacal As-trology in an easy manner in three parts, namely, the general influences of planets, signs, etc.; Predictions from the twelve houses; and Timing of events including Horary Astrology. By a study of these chapters one will have the necessary knowl-edge to arrive at results by examining a horoscope. It is hoped that this book will pave the way for a further study of other original and advanced works for enlightenment.
About The Book
Hindu astrology, or Jyotisha, is one of the six Vedangas ancient sciences supporting Vedic knowledge. It is based on the belief that the positions of celestial bodies at the time of birth influence human destiny. The system uses the sidereal zodiac with twelve signs (Rashis), twenty-seven lunar constellations (Nakshatras), and nine planets (Navagrahas), including the shadow planets Rahu and Ketu. The birth chart (Janma Kundali) maps planetary positions, and their interactions determine one's character, fortune, and life events. Hindu astrology comprises three main branches: Siddhanta (astronomy and calculations), Samhita (mundane astrology). and Hora Shastra (predictive astrology). Planetary periods (Dashas), transits (Gocharas), and yogas (planetary combinations) are analyzed to forecast life patterns. It emphasizes karma and timing, suggesting that while destiny is shaped by past actions, awareness of cosmic influences helps guide righteous living and wise decisions in accordance with cosmic law (Dharma).
