The Indian Tricolour
The Indian Tricolour
Description
From the Jacket :

The one national-mascot that stands for and represents a country in the world arena is its National-flag. The Indian Tricolour pays homage to our National flag, the symbol that gives India its unique identity.

This book offers the readers a brief history of flags, their evolution and significance. It traces how our National-flag, Tiranga, came into being, took its present form, and how a young man fought for the right to fly his National-flag every day of the year. Comprehensive and interesting, this extensively researched book also comprises numerous illustrations, rare photographs and fascinating trivia on flags.

It is, undoubtedly, the ultimate, reference book on flags in general, and an authority and guide on the Tiranga in particular.

About the Author :

Lt. Cdr. KV Singh (Retd.) was a commissioned officer, and was in the West Bengal Civil Serice (Executive) as a Deputy Collector and Magistrate before joined the services. He is widely traveled within the country and abroad.

He has authored four books (Quiz India, Our National Flag, Colourful World of Flags and Our Coins) and compiled two (An Insight Into World Religions and Rites and Rituals of Hindus and Muslims of Undivided India) besides contributing articles, stories and poems to national dailies and other periodicals. He has also been an anchor and participant in numerous television programmes.

I am a long-time customer of Exotic India for gifts for me and friends and family. We are never disappointed. Your jewelry craftspeople are very skilled artists. You must treasure them. And we always look forward to the beautifully decorated boxes you use to ship your jewelry.

I have always enjoyed browsing through the website. I was recently in south India, and was amazed to note that the bronze statues made in Kumbakonam and Thanjavur had similar pricing as Exotic India.
