About the Book On Swami's 90th birthday, there was an urge to start writing a series of poems. The number 18 came to my mind arbitrarily.. As per His divine will, the 18 poems were ready for Swami's 91st birthday. This book is a compilation of all those poems. Each one of them inspired by Swami's messages. The number 18 was an arbitrary choice besides the fact it adds up to be 9, it became more meaningful as the journey unfolded in this spiritual pilgrimage.. Over the course of the year there were interesting significance of this auspicious number that was discovered. The original Veda (as protected by Lord Brahma) has 18 chapters, so does the Bhagwat Gita, Puranas and upa-puranas. The war of Kurukshetra was fought for 18 days and there are 18 steps at the entrance of the temple at Sabari mala before one can seek Lord Ayyappa's darshan which signifies the collectively the five human senses(Panchendriyas), the Ashtaragas, the Trigunas, Vidya and Avidya. When one successfully climbs these 18 steps or can master these 18 aspects, they become self -realized. Likewise, each poem in Journey with Sai has a message from Swami's teachings highlighted based on what he conversed with me from within me. The first step to transformation is understanding. The next step is sadhana or putting it into practice and living it.

Foreword This book is a powerful guide directly from Swami through HIS chosen devotee to lead a life following the teachings of Truth, Right Action, Peace, Love and Nonviolence on the road to Self-Realization. Swami tells us "Yad Bhaavam Tad Bhavathi" - God if you think God you are, Dust if you think dust you are. Think God, Be God, you are God, Realize it. Like the blessed author of this book of poems is showing us, let us all become Akshaypatra (inexhaustible vessels) of LOVE by expanding our limitless love to known and unknown.
