Foreword

Our ability to think, read, remember and contemplate comprises the human mind. When others align their thinking with ours, we find in them sympathetic comrades. The Soul of this sympathy is Vitality. And it is with great vitality that Vedavati has gathered her own thoughts as well as those of others to put together some pleasant moments of life.In this age where relationships have turned into transactions and ethics are deteriorating, this book will help remind us of our responsibilities to each other. Shedding malignant thoughts and encouraging good logical thinking will make our lives happy. This is explained well in the first part of the book.

Ancient wisdom reminds us that our object in life must be to conquer the mind. When we are conquered by the mind, we fail. Raavana's failure lay in the fact that he could not control his mind. The author has provided important advice on controlling the mind in the chapter 'Green Breath'. This book is a good guide for the young in their quest to become independent and think for themselves. This well-written book will make life pleasurable. For it is an anthology, and as the roots of the wordremind us, an anthology is a collection of flowers. thus these anecdotes and bits of advice become, to extend the floral metaphor, a garland whose beauty enhaces that of the wearer. This is a book meant to be kept close at hand, on the shelves of one's home. It would make an ideal gift to a friend. It is a book to read again and again. Bibliophiles will cherish this book because its ideas are intelligent and useful and designed to improve the quality of one's life. I congratulate the author and wish the book all the very best.
