About the Book According to Bhagawan the goal of life for man, is not to be born again. For this purpose purifying human thoughts is the Sadhana to be undertaken. Dr.Ghooi, is a well qualified doctor in Allopathy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda and also in yoga. As a medial practitioner she identifies the limbic system in human brain as the source of all thoughts, good and bad and explains vividly how to purify the limbic system to enable the sadhaka to attain the ultimate goal of life. Meditation is the process which "purifies" the human thoughts which will lead to "unity' and finally human beings will attain "divinity". The various types of meditation including Bhagawan's "Jyothi Meditation" and "Namasmaran" have been explained in this valuable volume step by step so that devotees and readers can practice and get immense benefits spiritually.

Acknowledgements My million thanks at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, who chose me as His Human Guinea Pig for experimenting with all the diseases on my physical body, emotional body, mental body, and taking me inside my Hrdayam and purifying it so that I can realise my Self. I am further thankful to my Lord who finished my Karma with His Divine Grace and granted me so many years of life since 1978, when I had a very bad accident and He gave me an extensive interview in late Professor V. K. Gokak's house, Bangalore. I continued getting sick, and he continued giving me Vibhūti Prasādam and curing me slowly, slowly, slowly. Bhagawan did look after me, my hospital and children after the death of my husband, late Professor A.M. Ghooi, in 1983. I have no words to thank Him. I can only offer my humble services till death.

Preface In 1985 my paper on "Spirituality and Health" was accepted by an International Conference in Singapore. I printed out a summary of the lecture and made slides for the Conference, then came to Puttaparthi on Gurupurnima to show my work to my adoptive father, Papa, Late Professor V. K. Gokak. The day I arrived he invited me to come that night and show the slides and speak on the subject. At 7 p.m. I went to his Flat. The three of us the senior Mrs. Gokak (Amma), Papa and myself - had dinner together; after that I projected my slides on the wall with a running commentary on "Spirituality and Health". In between, Papa was correcting me and guiding me, which was duly noted on the summary. By 9 p.m. the lecture was over and Papa was so happy. He patted me on my head and shoulder. "Very good, very good, my child. You have done very well. Now you can go to your room with your baggage. Tomorrow, come at the same time and bring your book and I will see." I quietly slipped off and thought "What to do?" I was scared and did not go the next night because my book on the subject was still incomplete. The day after Papa sent a seva-dal to my flat with this message, "Tell my daughter to come at 7 p.m." I had to go.
