The readers, devotees as well as general public will find this booklet most interesting and practically useful for their spiritual upliftment.
Prologue/b>
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba on many occasions and at different times referred to mind and its tendencies, activities and the like. I felt I will make a booklet on 'Bhagawan on Mind your Mind' and offer it to the Lord as His 85th Birthday gift from the Tumuluru Family. In this attempt as usual, the entire family was involved directly and indirectly. In this context, I mention my late Father-in-law, a very orthodox Brahmin, who started believing in Baba and transformed himself with the Mahavakyas of Bhagawan: 'there is only one caste, the caste of Love". It is all the mind that matters. With the great faith and love, we ventured on the "Mind your Mind". It is Baba's Divine Sankalpa to use it as He wills,.
Introduction/b>
Man should have the proper knowledge and awareness of himself. He must know that he is not just a bundle of muscles, flesh and blood and the sense organs. But, he must also know the proper functioning of these, especially the sense organs and the mind. Only then he will realize that there is Atma - the self, the inner self within. Thus the knower, the knowledge and the process of knowing are not different things; they are one. Removing the non-self is the only way to know the Self. Real practice is to establish oneself in the Self Atma) forgetting the non-self (anatma). Without this conviction, all practices are just mental illusions. Like the clouds created by the heat of the sun, hiding the sun, the mind that arises out of the self hides the Self. (L & L-p. 5) The Self is Bliss. It is Beauty and Wisdom, but we allow it to be tarnished by the ego. Engage in humble service and egotism will fade away.
