Preface In the year 2000, my school mates celebrated the silver jubilee Reunion of our leaving school. I was unable to attend it. Subsequently, with the advent of social media, a WhatsApp group was formed in October 2015, and I was added sometime in the second half of 2017. Soon thereafter, one of my classmates suggested that, because many of us were not in direct contact with the others, after leaving school, for various reasons, each of us should give, in brief, his life journey upto the then present. Most of them did not comply, but I wrote a 3-page piece about myself, including therein how I came to Swami, and about life and family in general, posted it in the group(1) and forgot about it. The piece was well-received by my classmates, helping to revive some wonderful memories of my parents, especially my mother, siblings and our house.

Introduction I first met Sai Datta in the 1980's when I was at the Ashram looking for photographs to bring home. His name came first, to the lips of those we questioned about getting quality pictures of Baba. He was an energetic man of small stature who generated very positive vibes from casual conversation or sharing his experiences with Swami. He once told me that Swami nicknamed him "Auto Rickshaw", because of the speed with which he moved around to get the best photo shots of Swami. A distinct memory remained with me from our early conversations. Sai Datta had confided in me that Swami had asked him not to sell photos on the roadside or advertise.
