Acknowledgements I wish to express my gratitude to the indwelling Lord, for His constant guidance and inspiration, which has made the realization of this book possible. My special thanks to sister Pat Hunt for her untiring contribution in typing and compiling my rough hand-written notes with unending patience and perseverance. I also wish to thank Dr. Jit Aggarwal for checking the final version, helping with polishing and printing and for introducing sister Pat Hunt, who gave it proper shape. Last but not the least, my particular thanks to my dear wife Sharda, without whose constant help, this book could not have been completed.

Preface Right from childhood I was a believer in God. My mother was a very pious lady. She was always thinking of God and this was the main reason that I had such a deep faith in the Divine. As I was very keen to learn about other religions, I thoroughly studied them through reading many books on religions such as. Christianity, Sikhism and Islam etc. During my school days I received a diploma in Christianity from the Bible Society of Pune. Then I wanted to learn and understand why there were so many religions. What was the difference between them? And why were there so many differences? These were the questions that arose in my mind. After studying the different religions, I started to understand that the Supreme Power is One and non-divisible. Religions are like paths leading to the same goal. It is only that each religion has a different way of understanding God and the methods of reaching and worshipping Him are different. I have traced the idea of one God from Zoroaster of Iran, Lao Tze and Confucius of China, Abraham and Moses of the old Testament, the Vedas and Upanishads of India, Gautama Buddha, Mahavir, Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammad, Guru Nanak and Mahatma Gandhi.
