Sai Baba's 'precious sayings' are not mere words written in a book, but are 'promises' that He has made to His devotees, promises that He has always stood by and made us experience. Devotees experience the authenticity of these promises at every step of their lives. Each word uttered by Lord Sai is, in fact, Lord's own Vani or Brahma Vakya, which we have to assimilate to the depths of our heart and bathe in blissful joy, once we understand the same.
Baba's precious words are our treasure which we have been accumulating over many births. Each promise is drenched with love and filled with pure, pious feelings. These precious promises are for each living being, entire humanity, in fact, for the human race itself.
For example, we promise our children that if they do all tasks in life at the right time, in the right way, under our guidance and supervision, then we will surely reward them and their good deeds will bear fruit in the form of the Lord's Grace in their journey of life. In the same way, Lord Sai has given us different tasks to perform and our Lord Sai is so kind that even before we execute the tasks assigned to us with full honesty or before we complete them, Baba has already, that is, in advance, rewarded us in the form of His eleven promises or sayings. We have to peep within, search our inner self, to know if we have been able to gather, assimilate, adorn ourselves with His Grace, His divine love that is flowing ceaselessly from His promises. Are we ready to be rewarded by the kind Lord Almighty?
Before adorning and imbibing His Grace, in the form of His promises, and hence bathing in their joy, let us first dive deeply into these eleven pious sayings and make an attempt to understand Baba's deep, divine messages hidden in them. Let us try to get a feel of the deeper message, assimilate the same and make these messages an integral part of our lives.
Only after this attempt will we be able to see and analyse if are we still crawling, walking, standing still on the path of love and devotion or are we actually running, understanding and imbibing, that is, running on the path paved by these eleven sacred paths, and hence soaking the shower of His love fully. Let us dive deep into these eleven sayings and find our own true identity, by His Grace.
