Book Description
About the Book
This book in unequivocal terms brings the magical spell of realization as it progresses to truth. Little 'l' outgrows cosmos; 'I' is externally unconscious during merger. It affirms our eternal existence beyond the ephemeral pools of emotions, flesh, and blood. It affirms "World is in me". On descent from the indescribable Nirvikalpa little 'l' returns a different 'I' (aware); Paradoxically, 'I' now plans to destroy its former 'false Self; Awestruck and intoxicated it eagerly waits for Mahasamadhi; This very real looking world is seen floating inside as a bunch of appearances. Three decades ago he graduated from NIT Rourkela and served in IBM. Deeply anguished by incessant sufferings and the onslaught of nonstop thought of the ephemeral nature of all things and relationships, he cried for immortality since childhood. In search of God he escaped to the Himalayas from hostel. His attempt was to go beyond death one day. Hope had departed, friends had parted ways, when one day he suddenly woke up to see "World afloat inside shadow like". The all engulfing fiercest storm of liberation had passed over his little world in the campus. Now, cage open, parting hours near, but the little bird waits for a while adoring its old dolls (relations).

Foreword
Since the inception of life in mother's womb, and being born into this world, playing various roles till ascension unto the funeral pyre, all actions of us all, good or bad, right or wrong, proceed from three inherent desires: 1. Life/existence: No one wants to die. King & beggar, the weak & the strong, rich & poor alike, all fear death. Even an ant, when touched, runs away for fear of death. So, if we think carefully, it'll be seen that, all our actions are fundamentally in defence of existence!! 2. Knowledge/awareness: Whatever we see, hear or perceive through sense instruments we refer it to our memory and get the 'knowledge of it. For example, we see a four legged shiny black docile living being walking & bleating in a particular manner and our memory reports it to us as a goat. Thus we 'know' it and we're satisfied. Now, suppose we come across a queer seven legged living being of say, unusual size and symmetry giving unusual sound, then? We'll anxiously run from pillar to post to 'know' it. It'll be the talk of the town, with everyone crowding around helplessly and we'll not sit in peace. This is intrinsic in everyone. Why? 3. Bliss/Joy/Happiness: The third aspect is, no one wants to be sorrowful. Who welcomes grief? Everyone, from amoeba to human race, runs hither and thither in fear of sorrow and search of happiness. Most of us take so much 'pain' running after selfish external sensual pleasure mongering, thinking that, it'll give us happiness. But Alas! This pursuit has opened the floodgates of despair, worries & sorrows before even we've hardly tasted the pleasure! But, the rocky thorny path of pleasure-seeking continues in hit and trial. Old men know it better. And then, despite all our efforts, all of us are going to die!! No effort, no food, no medicine, no science can save our youthful vigour. Old age must cripple our body and senses. And disease can visit us anytime to cripple us even before old age!! Ohh! The agony of struggle for life, for a morsel of food, for a moment of smile in hours of acute pain! When, life throws life-threatening blows at us, when all our might and money are of no avail, when the frail frame of bones struggles to even crawl, the ego in us faces an adamantine wall that he just can't scale and looks up in despair. The exhausted and exasperated person seeks help from some super powerful entity. And thus begins the quest for life here and hereafter.

Preface
Who says Atman doesn't see? Who else has power to really see? Who says prayer doesn't connect? Who says sufferings can't end? As night falls and darkness envelops, a loud scream from a frightened kid immediately reaches mother. She hurries back calling "Don't fear; I am around. Leave the sand houses. They remain where they are. Can I ever be without you? You forgot, not me". We fear darkness yet won't leave it! Our prayer brings grace. Our prayer carries forward across lives. Note: "seeing" and "gracing" is neither mental nor physical. It is through God and Maya.
