About The Author

Dr. Ramachandra Shankaran was born in Madurai, India. He received his M.Sc. (Chemistry) from Aligarh Muslim University and his PhD (Biochemistry) from Delhi University. He left for Canada on a Research Fellowship in 1969 and spent several years doing research in the fields of Tuberculosis, Cancer, anesthetics and genetic diseases at the University of British Columbia, Boston Biomedical Institute, McMaster University and University of Toronto. He has published many original scientific papers from his research in leading scientific Journals from India. Britain, Europe and USA and Canada.

After spending 20 years in biomedical research, Dr. Shankaran took early retirement from active research and has been a teacher at the Toronto District School Board for the last 18 years He enjoys teaching in the multicultural environment in Toronto and coached the school cricket team to the City Cricket championship 3 years in a row.

Dr. Shankaran enjoys writing and has written, directed and acted in many humorous plays in his Community Associations and in his school. Currently he is in the finishing stages of writing a mystery novel, the story being based in India.

About The Author
