Tansen, one of the greatest singer, composers and musicians in India Classical music, was one of the nine jewels in the court of Emperor Akbhar. Tansen, born as Ramtanu to a Hindu family, came to be known as Mian Tansen, the nickname conferred o him by Emperor Akbar.
