Book Description

Introduction

The other name of Vaastu Shastra is Sthapatya Veda. All Vedic literature have a role of a catalyst for the self transformation and the ascension of human values. Sthapatya means civil engineering and architectural planning, according to all disciplines of the world cultures. All different systems of architecture are just physical phenomena and related to the breeze and physical comfort. As such they are just static in their formulation and do not correlate to the subtle networks of energy. The concept of grid planning of all other architectural disciplines is static and does not refer to the different divine or destructive networks of energy. Human beings and ten dimensions are no way reflected by the modern or western architecture. In Egyptian or in Roman architecture, one can see some reflections of these dimensions but more of sensuous pleasures are reflected in them. In Egyptian architecture some thought of the after death existence is seen in some concepts. But in Mayan architecture one sees many good reflections of the comprehensive truth related to the past-present-future. In the Indian style of architecture i.e. in Vaastu Shastra- Sthapatya Veda a complete thought of Being-Becoming is organized for ascension and the transformation of the Self. Relationship of the man and the nature is the base of this Sthapatya Veda. There is a great similarity in the Sankhya Philosophy and the philosophy of the Sthapatya Veda. In Sankhya philosophy twenty seven constituents are contributors of every existence. In the Sthapatya Veda ten directions-two streams of energy-five great elements-Sun-Moon- five planets-Time-Brahmasthan-Earth are twenty seven contributors of the human life. The perimeter of the house is your consciousness, so the shape of your house is the reflection of your consciousness. As is the consciousness, so is the relationship with the nature. Connectivity of the form to the virtues-nature and time is the base of this divine science that speaks about the transformation of the future in to fortune. Form-Future-Fortune is the trika of the philosophy of the Sthapatya Veda. In Jain philosophy it is reflected by the Aakar-Svabhav-Gun-Kaal as the four dimensional truth. In Sanatan system it is reflected by Ghat-Ghatana-Ghatakash i.e. earth-ether-event as the trika of the philosophy. Events in the life are difficult to analyze and cause of happening is mysterious. But the "Kary-Karan-Bhav ie. cause- effect-emotion gives some hope to remove the mystic nature from the eventology. Establishment of a unique relationship with the divinity-nature-energy is the core theme of this Divya-Shastra. Avalokiteshvara is a form of Lord Buddha depicted, described and portrayed in different cultures of the world. Because of the compassion he signifies universal motherhood; which is the sole purpose of the Vedik Shastras. Being Padma-Pani he signifies the Narayana; who is the organiser of this universe. Being a combination of the qualities of the father and the virtues of the mother; symbolically it's nothing but the Shiva-Shakti-Samaveshan- fusion of the Shiva and the Shakti; that is element and the energy.

About The Book

This book connects the classical philosophy to the theory and practice of Vaastu Shastra. Particularly the stream lines/tag lines used by H.H. Sri Sri Ravishankarji in explaining the Vigyan-Bhairava, gave me inspiration to connect them to the practical life and to the divine science of Vaastu Shastra. The integral approach to Vaastu Shastra strengthens the remedial and practical field of this super technique termed as Sthapatya-Veda i.e. Vaastu Shastra.
