Preface Arya Vaidya Sala conducts Annual Ayurveda Seminars from 1964 as a tribute to the revered memory of the Founder Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier. Earlier they were held in Kottakkal on Founder's death anniversary which falls on 30th of January. It was felt that a greater participation of physicians and the general public can be had if the venue is shifted to the district headquaters in the state. The seminar on 'An Update on Cancer' was held at Thrissur Sunday, the 31 October 2010.

We express our hearty thanks to friends and well-wishers in the medical field for their sincere efforts in making the seminar a success. We dedicate these seminar papers to them.
