A poet of the people, a philosopher of
freedom and equality and a fightingsaint, Vemana was unique in many ways.
Though less well-known than some other great saints of Mediaeval India like
Kabir, Nanak and Chaitanya his teaching has much contemporary relevance, for
he was a dreamer of One World and of the Brotherhood of Man.
The writer of
this monograph Sri V. R. Narla a veteran journalist and an author in Telgu and
English brings into bold relief every facet of the many of the many splendoured
personality of Vemana.
As he did earlier in his monograph on
Veeresalingam, Sri Narla provides this too with Glossary and Notes.
