Sitting on a hillside, Sri Rama and Laksmana soak in the beauty of the rainy season. Rama draws many parallels between nature and human nature. For instance, the clear sky reminds Him of a pure soul, devoid of worldly desires. The imagery of nature helps Him unravel his thoughts on dharma, jnana, bhakti and niti.

Swami Tejomayananda clubs his commentary on Kiskindha-kanda with Purajana-gita from Uttara-kanda, which is Sri Rama’s address after his coronation, very much like the Presidential address on the eve of the Republic Day.

This book is a compilation of Pujya Guruji’s discourses, based on Kiskindha-Kanda and Purajana-gita of Uttara-Kanda of Tulasi-Ramayana. These satsangas were conducted in Hindi by him at Bhavnagar (Gujarat in January 2003 and later serialized in Tapovan Prasad, the monthly mission magazine.

Sri Rama’s comparisons between the monsoon scenes and human nature are incomparable. So also his maiden address after his coronation.
