This is the first genuine attempt to thread the 23 World Cultural Heritages Sites in India as a tourist circuit. These are monuments selected by UNESCO to encourage protection and preservation of cultural sites considered to be of outstanding value to humanity.

The first edition of the book, published in 2002 won the 'Excellence in Publishing' Award conferred by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The new edition of this Highly –acclaimed guidebook has been updated to include six new sites added to the WHS India list since then.
