Here is painted the idol of Krishna on a pedestal, flanked by offerings of coconut and pure water. He is dressed in fine silk garments - the shoulder cloth turning upward; the flared dhoti also moving in the same direction, maintaining the compositional balance. Krishna wears an elaborate crown, with a flower tucked in on the side. The exquisite ornaments are worked in relief with brilliant gold paint. The flute and the yoga-danda are particularly worked upon finely.
The artist has used subdued earthy colours. Even the background has a heavily toned down beige that adds to the sober colour palette. An occasional pink and yellow cheer up the chromatic pattern. However, the sobriety of colour is intentional so as to raise the gold relief into prominence. The extensively used gold also flows on to the border, making it a visually lavish painting.
