The woman here is a figure of surpassing grace and elegance. She stands in a royal blue ghagra and choli with a contrast orange odhini. With the artist's help we know the yards and yards of fabric that went into the making of her costume. The tactile quality of the garment is also brought out by him. It falls well over and around her body, highlighting the ample curves, yet concealing in some ways. Her bracelets, her necklaces speak of royal splendor. If the artist had not managed to make it look close to real, he has laden the jewellery with red and white stones.
The left side has a tall table with a wine casket and a glass. The right side is counter balanced with rich, thick drapery. The volume of the drapery is as perfect achieved as the wooden quality of the table. Since the foreground consists of a lot of floral patterns the costume, the carpet and the table, the artist has left the background plain black. It also helps to catapult the brilliance of the orange and the blue to greater prominence.
