All the liquid ingredients are allowed to pass down through the outlet to a separate vessel, in which they are mixed and distributed among the temple guests.

The body of the Patra is multi-layered and engraved with beautiful motifs and designs such as lotus petals, flowers, triangles and circles. The fine finishing and detailing are praiseworthy. The deities are also dressed and ornamented on the Abhishek Patra. Abhishekam has a great importance in Vedic culture.
