Eighteen Wicks Roof Hanging Lamp
Lighting an oil lamp at dawn and /or dusk is believed to be a symbol of enlightenment and brings about prosperity, good luck, and positive energies. In a Hindu home a lamp or Diya is is lit daily before a deity or any symbol associated with Hinduism to perform an aarti. the light in the lamp symbolizes knowledge & eradicates darkness, a symbol of ignorance. the wicks connote ego and the ghee or oil therein specifies our negative inclinations like vasnas, ego, pessimistic beliefs, etc. thus When lit by the fire of knowledge which illuminates the lord (truth), our vasnas then burnt-out or melt, the ego( wick) perishes and the negative tendencies or spirits ( oil) melt away from the soul.

This delightful brass Hanging Peacock Diya With 18 wicks has been Cast and molded by extremely fine artisans with hard work and perseverance.
