Ikats are a traditional textile tradition of India. The threads of ikat textiles are dyed before they are woven into patterns. Sambalpur in Orissa is one of the few places in India where distinctive ikat textiles are woven. Thee motifs predominantly used are the flower, the shankh (conch), and fish.

This kurta piece is in blue color with vertical stripes and series of flowers woven in the Sambalpuri style. These flowers are alternated with off white woven stripes. The salwar piece too is in off-white color.

The dupatta is in matching off-white color with a blue color border and the Sambalpuri style woven flowers.
