The base of this delightful shawl is navy blue with dainty embroidery done in silk threads in peach, pink, white & pistachio green colours. These colours are judiciously set against each other. They are subdued, hence blend well together. Diagonally running branched consisting of leaves, flowers & cones, intersect each other forming an intricate net of floral design. The pattern is not too closely packed, there is no overlapping or complexity. Since the intersecting rows are at a distance, they form a circular empty space which is occupied by a characteristic boteh arising out of a lotus flower which showed the rising local influence on typical Islamic patterns. All these designs are framed within a three lined border. Out of the three, the middle line is different consisting of a big floral motif at a reasonable distance.
The delicacy of the pattern & the beauty of the remarkable colours can be enjoyed much more because the design is not congested. It leaves enough scope to appreciate the deep blue colour of the base too!
