This sari is a combination of the Bengal cotton weaves with the hand painted traditions of the country with religious motifs that are a part of Hindu mythology and cosmology. The sari comes with a plain navy blue body and a grey border which has huts woven in a series all along it. All over the sari are Swastikas painted in brown color. The Swastika in Hindu mythology is a symbol of auspiciousness. Above the border are painted Kalashas Kalash is the sacred pot placed in a puja with a coconut and mango leaf that marks sacredness with fertility in the Hindu cosmology.

The Pallav has a painted Ganesha who is the elephant headed god of Hindu mythology and is revered as the first of all gods and hence worshipped at the beginning of any important activity.
