Here, the same botehs form the main motif, related to each other through thin stems. The stems do not have open ends, and each end is enclosed by leaves. The stem is turquoise in colour with leaves in pink. The paisley motif has pink flowers inside but it is note worthy that everywhere that pink is used, it is outlined with black. Thus, the pink colour loses its prominence but retains its soothing effect. The border has a very interesting scalloped design on all four sides using turquoise, pink and everything out-lined in black.
Like the weaver, the Kashmiri embroiderer is an artist whose sense of colour and design never flags, as is evident here. In fact, the above two have infallible harmony and grace which is very pleasing. The mustard colour of the shawl is such that it will need either a pink or a pale coloured outfit to go with it.
