Buddhism; a path to spiritual development and Insight into the true nature of reality.

The Vedic era introduced rigid rules and laws, including the caste system and the belief in the eternally revolving wheel of rebirth. For an average person escaping from the cycle of reincarnation was nearly impossible. One of the social responses that offered a chance of escape from being endlessly reborn was termed Buddhism.

The person who we call “the Buddha” was born around 56- b.c.e in Lumbini. After his death, his closest followers continued his teaching. But at that time there was no material expression of his teachings, that is, there was no iconography. As of the third century before our era, the figurative arts began to develop.

Symbols such as the rendition of his footprints or of a throne turban such as he had worn during his princely life etc. were the only artefacts created at that time. Shortly after the beginning of our era, an image of Buddha was created.

At Exotic India, we have an exquisite collection of Bronze sculptures of Buddha and other Buddhist artefacts of religious significance. These serene assortments will bless your surroundings with grace.

Which Buddha statue is good luck?

The Happy Buddha - Shakyamuni Buddha - is probably the most popular statue and brings good luck and abundance. Sometimes Buddha statues can be bought in pairs or even threes.

The laughing Buddha is regarded as a representation of peace, wealth, happiness, and well-being. Laughing Buddha sculptures are regarded as propitious and are usually stored in houses, workplaces, hotels, and eateries, for good luck and positive energy.

Which Buddha statue is not good for home?

The statue should always face the east direction. You can place it in the North-East direction to stimulate the energy of the corner.

A Buddha statue is perfectly appropriate in a Buddhist temple, but it may be offensive-or at the very least, insensitive-when used as bathroom decoration, storeroom, laundry room, or as an image for a car advertisement. A statue is never just a piece of stone or wood. Keep the statue always clean and don't let the dirt settle on it.

Buddha once said he taught only the truth of suffering and its alleviation. So we could ask ourselves, does own a Buddha statue help to alleviate suffering or does it compound it?
