The calm, serene Goddess of wisdom Devi Saraswati, the Goddess of wealth, beauty, luxury, and fortune Devi Lakshmi, and the powerful and mighty manifestation of ‘Prakriti’ Devi Durga; these holy trinity constitutes the major Goddesses of the Hindu Pantheon.

She is the embodiment of wisdom and consciousness and aids Brahma in the creation and maintenance of this world.
Besides these popular Goddesses, ‘Prakriti’ is also the personification of other subjects of worship such as earth (Prithvi), ethics (Aditi), and forests (Aranyani).

Mata Annapurna can be kept in two places, one being in the pooja /mandir or the Kitchen. In the case of the Kitchen, you can keep it in the Northeast corner of the Kitchen such that it is facing the West direction and the person offering prayers is facing the East direction.

Once the puja is over you can break your fast. One can chant The Sri Annapurna Ashtakam composed by Shankaracharya for nourishment, wisdom, and renunciation. Before partaking of any food, Hindus chant the following prayer:
"ओम अन्नपूर्णे सदापूर्णे शंकर प्राण वल्लभ ज्ञान वैराग्य सिद्ध्यार्थम भिक्षाम देही च पार्वती। माता में पार्वती देवी पिता देवो महेश्वर बंधवा: शिव भक्तास्क स्वदेशो भुवनत्रयम्।“
Vedic people did not worship images or idols. They worshiped gods through prayers, chants, songs, rituals, and sacrificial ceremonies.

If the puja room is installed by ancestors, then change it, if needed, in the northeast corner of the bedroom. The bed needs to be placed as far as possible from the Mandir. One can hang god photos on the North-East wall of the living room.
