Rabindranath Tagore

The well-known Bengali poet, philosopher, and polymath Rabindranath Tagore was from India. His writings include "Gitanjali," "The Home and the World," and "The Gardener." He was the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913. Themes of love, nature, and spirituality are frequently explored in Tagore's works, which were influential in the Bengal Renaissance, an effort to revitalise and promote Bengali culture and literature. In addition, he was a nationalist and social reformer who fought for Indian independence from British colonial control.
