Indian poet, writer, critic, and author of the Sahitya Academy Award-winning book Vinayak, Ramesh Chandra Shah also writes poetry.
Shah is credited with writing a number of works, including novels, travel diaries, short tales, essays, and poetry. Gobar Ganesh, his debut book, is centred on the life of Almora middle-class families. He won the Sahitya Academy Award in 2014 for his book Vinayak, which many people saw as an expansion of his first book. He had received the civilian Padma Shri award from the Indian government in the past.
