It all brings just one festival to mind and that is Basant Panchami or Vasant Panchami. While Vasant means spring, Panchami means the 5th day. This festival falls on the 5th day of the Maagha month as per the Hindu calendar and marks the arrival of the Spring season which is called the Basant ritu in Hindi, hence the name Vasant Panchami. It is also believed that this is the day when Goddess Saraswati emerged in the form we know today, Bringing respite from the harsh cold weather of the winter months marks the beginning of warmer days. This day is celebrated in various ways and by various names in different parts of India. In South India, it is called Sri Panchami and in West Bengal, it is celebrated as Saraswati Puja.

It advocates that enlightenment is not something that resides in the future. In fact, humans are already enlightened. They just need to realize it. Among them, Shiva trishul is the most widely worshiped and one of the most sacred symbols of the religion, especially the Shaivite sect. It is in this form that Mahadeva is seen in possession of his trident. While there are many other deities like Goddess Durga and some forms of Devi Lakshmi, who are also seen with the trident, it is nobody else but Lord Shiva who is considered to be the master and the supreme owner of the trishul. Tri means three, and shool means stake. Hence, the meaning of trishul is a weapon that has three stakes. According to Hindu belief, Lord Shiva used this very trishul to sever the human head of Lord Ganesha.

Goddess Durga symbolizes power, courage, and all that the female energy is. She is the manifestation of the Adi Shakti and the protector of the universe from all evil. When the universe became burdened with the nuisance created by demons, the devas prayed to the Holy Trinity, i.e., Lord Brahma (the creator of the universe), Lord Vishnu (the preserver of the universe, and Lord Shiva (the destroyer of the universe).
