Q: What is meant by Birth Chart Analysis?
A: Planetary positions are marked or identified at the time of birth of the native in 12 rasi (signs). The Birth Chart is a physical map of the sky at the time of birth of the native. This is generated in the form of a chart.
Birth Chart Analysis is made to know the strength and weakness of the planet(s) situated in the rasisign at the time of birth. The birth chart helps to identify the favorable and unfavorable positions of planets posited in the natal chart and their influence on the life of the native.
It is believed that planets occupy these favorable or unfavorable positions in the natal chart based on the past good or bad deeds (karmas) of the native.
Q: Why should the Birth Chart be analyzed?
A: The common opinion is that we are here on this earth to enjoy or suffer the effects of our past karmas (deeds). We need to live happily now and in the future as well. This birth is an opportunity to attempt release from the effects of past sins. Unattended past sins may result in suffering in this life or in a future birth.
Logical analysis of the birth chart is like a divine message. With proper analysis, the native is redirected towards fulfillment of life goals. Just as the life force enters the body at the time of birth, this guidance by an expert can help the native achieve goals with ease. It may also reveal the deeper purpose of the native's entry into this physical world.
During Jupiter's transit, if beneficial planets are posited in the rasi/sign of the birth chart, the native may enjoy positive and beneficial results. On the other hand, if Jupiter transits over a rasi where unfavorable planets are placed, the native may undergo suffering.
The lord of the rasi (sign) also plays a vital role in determining the strength of the planet(s) posited there. In Nadi astrology, Rahu, Ketu, Mars, and the Moon are considered malefic and are seen as signals of past life sins (curse).
The interpretations of planets here are primarily derived from 'Bhrigu Nandi Nadi' by the late Sri R. G. Rao and other classical texts. With support from Chart 'A', the strength of a planet as per Nadi astrology can be easily determined. This chart is also useful in answering a Prashna (horary) query based on (Kashyapa) Hora.
