Duality is the essential nature all physical existence. Darkness and light, good and evil, positive and negative the list is endless but these are extremes within which flows the river of life.
Negative and positive forces or 'Yin' and 'Yang' as the Chinese call these are essential to run the machinery of existence on this planet. So, the base of Feng Shui is rooted in life itself weather or not you believe it!
Years ago, when my illustrious mentor (Gurudeva) the late Dr. D. Poornachandra Rao initiated me in the art and science of Feng Shui, I realised that this wonderful philosophy is a powerful tool capable of transforming life for good.
My in-depth knowledge and research in the subject enabled me to be an instrument in transforming the lives of thousands of my clients and students through the principles of Feng Shui.
The success, as indicated by the satisfaction of my clients and students, has inspired me to present my findings in the form of this humble book so that many more could benefit and prosper.
I am happy to present this, my second book, to my sincere readers and look forward to their valuable comments and feedback. I hope you enjoy reading and also gain a lot from it!
t is heartening to observe the fast pace of global progress over the past I few decades. Even in developing countries more and more people are becoming materially rich day by day. But when you look at it closely you observe that this progress is taking its toll in the form of stress and lack of peace in our lives.
The quest for peace and tranquillity motivated a few to dive deep into the vast sea of ancient wisdom and come up with some valuable gems!
One such wonderful gem is the ancient Chinese art and science of Feng Shui.
Some people doubt the efficacy of simple remedies which Feng Shui suggests, they argue, 'How can a simple act of placing a fountain at the entrance bring wealth and prosperity into a house? The answer is yes it can, but only if you keep faith and give it a try!
You don't lose anything by giving a sincere try to such wonderful yet simple ideas, but you need to have in-depth knowledge in order to benefit fully.
Although no single book can replace an expert consultant yet I have tried my best to make this a complete practical guide on Feng Shui for a layman.
The book is divided into four parts. Part-1 contains five chapters and will enable you to fully grasp the basics of Feng Shui. The author believes that unless you know the fundamental principles you cannot fully benefit from any art or science.
Part-2 of the book is about 'Feng Shui Devices'. We all hear about 'Bagua map', Bamboo plant, Mandarin Ducks, Three-Legged Frog' and so on but don't know what they are for. So, this part of the book will educate the reader about all such Feng Shui devices. There are 26 chapters in this part.
Part-3 is about the applications of Feng Shui to various aspects of life such as Carrier, Family and Relationships, Education etc. The seven chapters of this part give useful suggestions which can transform your life magically. Part-4, through its ten chapters describes the concepts of 'Personal Feng Shui' based on the Kua numbers. Each person has a personal Kua number as per the year of birth according to Chinese Lunar calendar. This part of the book will enable you to calculate your Kua number and learn about your personal auspicious and inauspicious directions. By avoiding inauspicious directions and strengthening the auspicious ones you can enrich your life and save yourself from many troubles.
The book is written in simple and easy to understand style. You will enjoy reading it and definitely adore it as a bedside guide.
