Description
Preface

Om Parmatmane Namah

Prostrations at the Holy Feet of Gurudev Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj and Swami Brahmanandaji Maharaj, who have condescended to express in the form of this booklet. Reverential adorations at the Holy Feet of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother who have bestowed perennial grace in the form of conduciveness for the expression. My special gratitude to Swami Vimalanandaji Maharaj, President, the Divine Life Society , Rishikesh, who is the inspiration for this booklet, whose life amongst us is the inspiration of the spirit of Sri Hanumanji. Offered very special thanks to Tara Didi, Chairman, Sri Aurobindo Ashram Trust and Swami Padmanabhanandaji, General Secretary, the Divine Life Society, Rishikesh, blessing this endeavour by writing, Forewords for this book. This book belongs to my Dharam Patni who true to her name Atmaprakash has been the source of enthusiasm for giving shape to the commentary. Very special thanks to Swami Akhilanandaji, Smt. Aradhanaji and Mr. Neeru Aggarwal for their constant support. Last but not the least, it is the labour of love of Viba Press, which appears as printed booklet.

Introduction

Come to learn, go to serve, that is the motto to which a child is introduced when he enters school. When the student reaches college, the distance between learning and service stars appearing. And when the person stars earning the service is slowly replaced by selfishness. All this happens unknowingly. The individual arrogance and self-centeredness, social apathy and spiritual ungratefulness to the divine are the manifestations of Maya in our present times.

With this as the background problem, the solution highlighted is the wisdom of Sri Hanumanji-

Be Gyan Guna Sagar like Sri Hanumanji and remain Ram Kaaj Karibae Ko Atur (Acquire Knowledge and virtues of Sri Hanumanji and be always eager to use them for the works of Divine).
