Dr. Shuddhātam Prakāśa Jain was born in 1977 in Gudhāchandraji, Village located in Karauli district of Rajasthan. After completing the Sastrī degree, he obtained postgraduate degrees in Jainology and Comparative Religion & Philosophy from Jain Vishva Bharti, Landun, MA in Sanskrit Literature from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi, and Acharya (MA) in Prakrit and Vidya Väridhi Ph.D. degree from Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, New Delhi. At present, he is serving as a Professor in the Department of Jainism under the K. J. Somaiya Institute of Dharma Studies, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai. He has taught for more than 20 years at institutions such as Mangalayatan University (Aligarh), Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University), and the National Institute of Ayurveda. Besides Jain Philosophy, he is also a scholar of Education, Prakrit and Sanskrit. He has authored numerous books, research papers, contemporary articles, and stories. He has written more than two dozen books, many of which are used as textbooks by thousands of students today. His major works include Bhagavān Mahāvīra kā Šikşādarśana (The Educational Philosophy of Lord Mahāvīra), Jainadarsana ke Pariprekşya mem Tina Loka (The Three Worlds in the Perspective of Jain Philosophy), 24 Tirthankara, Mūlya Šiksana (Value Education), Jivana Šailī Prabandhana (Life-Style Management), among others. His editorial contributions include Ārādhanāsamuccaya, Yogasārasamgraha, and Jain Drsti mem Yugīna Samasyāom ke Samādhāna (Solutions of Contemporary Problems from a Jain Perspective). He has written extensively on religion, philosophy, values, ethics, education and society.
