Amoli reached for the trunk and fished a hand inside it. She was still planning the details in her head as her hand rummaged around, searching for the gadget inside the trunk. She stopped thinking and opened the trunk and removed the layers of cloth which were used to camouflage the gadget. Her heart skipped a beat, but then, it was impossible to think that it could be misplaced. This had never happened in all these years. It was safest to keep it here because she was the only one besides her brother who had access to this room. The gadget had never ever been anywhere else other than inside the trunk. Amoli sat on the chair and closed her eyes. Somehow, the impossible had happened.
Was it some kind of magic again that had made the gadget disappear? Or was it missing because it had been stolen by someone?
