Book Description

Introduction

The protection of child rights encompasses several dimensions of human resource development, forming a fundamental basis for ensuring their well-being. This book examines many features that illustrate the current situation of child rights protection. Prominent among the areas of study included under the field are the examination of the nature and patterns of child development, the processes behind developmental change, population and individual variations in development. motor, cognitive, emotional, social, and linguistic development, among others. Scholars have identified many dimensions of child development within the field of child psychology, which encompasses the progression of a child's growth from infancy through adolescence. The achievement of child development, which is a crucial component of human resource development, is unattainable without the safeguarding of child rights. Considerable scholarly investigation has been undertaken to build a substantial body of knowledge about the participation of many stakeholders in the protection of children's rights at a worldwide level. Extensive research is conducted on several dimensions pertaining to the protection and promotion of children's rights in different nations. In the present-day context, several professional associations have arisen with the objective of protecting the rights of children and advancing their development. The media has dedicated resources, both in terms of physical infrastructure and time allocation, to engage in discussions and evaluations concerning the protection of children's rights. Numerous commissions, collectives, and people have undertaken extensive evaluations about the diverse factors associated with the welfare and advancement of youngsters in India and other developing countries. The lack of consistent protection of child rights in India by parents, teachers, policy makers, implementers, and other stakeholders has been a topic of substantial criticism. Scientific investigations are imperative in order to enhance comprehension of the factors that influence children's personality, implement efficient preventive measures to reduce abuses of child rights, and establish progressive strategies to preserve child rights in an exemplary jurisdiction like India. The active participation of parents, teachers, politicians, practitioners, bureaucrats, and researchers is vital in this regard. The current generation of scholars has furthered this line of thinking via a series of investigations that demonstrate the factors associated with the growing violation of children's rights, namely. The book is divided into twelve chapters, each of which is dedicated to a different aspect of protecting children's rights: the basics of child rights, the role played by international organizations, the child rights situation in India, the role of government, the role played by civil society, the importance of family, the function of schools, and so on. The primary goal of this book is to meet the scholarly and professional demands of policymakers, administrators, educators, researchers, students, and anyone else with an interest in analyzing different perspectives on children's rights.

The field studies child development, including its nature and patterns, mechanisms of change, population and individual differences, and motor, cognitive, emotional, social, and language development. Child psychologists study children from birth to adolescence. Child development essential to human resource development is impossible without child rights. Several professional associations advocate children's rights and development today. Media have hosted children's rights conversations and evaluations. Many commissions, collectives, and individuals have analysed young people's well-being and growth in India and other developing nations. Parents, teachers, policymakers, implementers, and others in India have been criticised for weak and inconsistent child rights protection. Understanding children's characteristics, preventing child rights breaches, and developing progressive child rights initiatives in a model jurisdiction like India need scientific research. Parents, teachers, policymakers, practitioners, administrators, and intellectuals must address this problem. Contemporary researchers have broadened this line of thought by exploring the causes of escalating child rights violations. The book has twelve child rights parts. Indian context, fundamental values, international organisations, government involvement, civil society engagement, family, schools, and other concerns are explored. This book meets the intellectual and professional needs of legislators, administrators, educators, researchers, students, and children's rights advocates.
